No, we only supply to qualified herbalists, acupuncturists, TCM practitioners and medical doctors. Practitioners must submit proof of qualification upon registration and state the name of their insurer. At Phoenix, we believe in safe practice and acupuncture and herbal medicine should only be practiced by qualified healthcare professionals.

Any member of the general public that wishes to purchase herbs or receive acupuncture treatment must consult a qualified practitioner. To find a qualified practitioner, nationwide databases are available at the following websites:

If you are in your last year (clinical study), you are more than welcome to place orders upon approval from your tutor. Please register here and email with proof of study and an email from your tutor. 

As a student, you will not be permitted to prescribe herbal medicine or treat patients without your tutor's supervision. It is important that you complete your course and get insurance for practice as you will be responsible for your patients' health and wellbeing.

Yes of course, you will need to register an account with both the wholesale ( and dispensary service ( as they work as two separate entities. Wholesale herbs come in either 500g bags of raw dried herbs and 100g bottles of concentrated granules. Bespoke prescriptions are made to order.

At present, we only accept credit account applications from NHS hospitals clinics and universities. To apply, please email the accounts team and request a credit application form.

As a wholesaler and B2B business, all of our customers are business owners and therefore can claim VAT back through their tax return.
